Basil Stevens Memorial Writing Contest

Once again we will celebrate the life of Basil Stevens, a long-time South Bay member and sportswriter, by offering a scholarship contest in his name. First prize is a scholarship to EoE!

Contest deadline is July 1, 2008. Download the flyer for details.

About the conference

EoE is packed with writing workshops and opportunities to pitch your work to agents and publishers. We're still working on our lineup of speakers, agents, publishers, and instructors, so be sure to return to this website for the latest information. Better yet, sign up for our mailing list, see note at left.

We also offer these optional events to make the most of your visit to Steinbeck Country: Saturday night gala at the Steinbeck Center, Sunday brunch at John Steinbeck's boyhood home, and a trek into Monterey for a tour of Doc Ricketts' lab.
