Q: How can I get on one of your lists?
A: Subscribe to it. (how-to at left).

Q: What do you mean by a "blank" email?
A: A "blank" email is one where you don't need to enter a Subject or any words in the body of the message.
Now, being a writer, you can wax poetic in both the subject and the message areas, but no one will read it. Your email is processed by a software programs and all it's looking for is the sending email address.

Q: I sent a blank email to subscribe, but I haven't received any emails. What's going on?
A: We do not bombard you with emails, not from any list we run. We want you to like us!
Generally, we send out an SBW Events mailing once a month, or whenever we have a workshop or such to announce.
The EoE conference sends out promotional information, but do not expect a weekly update. For the latest list of speakers and workshops, be sure to check the website.

Q: I've tried to subscribe (or unsubscribe) but I don't think it took. What should I do?
A: Send your request to our webmaster and she'll straighten things out.

To keep our members and friends updated on what's going on and coming up, we periodically send out email blasts. We maintain two public mailing lists which anyone, member or not, may subscribe to:

  • South Bay Writers Events
  • East of Eden Writers Conference News

We also have a Members-Only list. When you become a member, we also put your email address on the SBW Events list.
