Michael L. Levin (Mikhail) was born in Moscow, Russia in August 8, 1938. In Moscow he had 2d job as tour guide. He often travel with tourists to Museum - Estate of Leo Tolstoy: "Yasnaya Polyana" there Tolstoy was born, wrote his main works including "War and Peace" and was buried there. Michael Levin arrived in US in November 1976. He is one of the last friend of Tolstoy`s family. In February 1977 Michael Levin met youngest daughter of Leo Tolstoy - Alexandra. She was 92 Years old. They had several conversations about life of her worldwide famous father. Michael Levin brought from Moscow portrait of Leo Tolstoy. On the cover of the book you can see portrait of Tolstoy with signature by Alexandra Tolstoy personally to Michael Levin:"...I am happy that you helped people - tourists when they came to bow their heads at grave of my father."
