Audry Lynch has written With Steinbeck in the Sea of Cortez and Steinbeck Remembered. The latter contains 20 interviews with people who knew the man behind the books during his California years. She also has delivered two papers at Steinbeck Conferences: " Steinbeck and His Women" and "Two Rebels With a Cause: James Dean and John Steinbeck". She has met all his wives, his sons and many friends and neighbors. Audry teaches classes on his works and gives tours of Steinbeck Country. She has a world class collection of Steinbeck First Editions, memorabilia from his movies, magazines and newspapers, and foreign editions of his works. Many of the books are signed. The collection extends into most of the rooms in her room. Her friends refer to Steinbeck as "the other man in her life".
